I’m going to get the outlines in first in tambour beading, and then fill in the rest. The first flower to be outlined was the hibiscus; this is going to be in a deep red – mostly plain but with some variegated beads to provide shading:

There’s a band behind the lower flower and leaves – this will continue around all the panels and join them together; this will be green, as will the leaves, of course, but the leaves will be in plain green beads and the band in variegated, to help keep them distinct:

The leaves are quite fiddly, so I think it’s probably going to be easiest to fill them in as I go rather than try and outline them and go back later to finish. I’ll do that next.
