'Silver Honeysuckle' Roundel
This abstract piece was very loosely based on a sketch of a honeysuckle flower. Each shape on the sketch was taken as a solid block and stitched heavily in a range of goldwork techniques, with no attempt at realism.
The central area is worked with areas of couched Japanese silver thread, sequins, and couched pearl purl. The surrounding design uses couched and threaded pearl purl, silver kid appliqué and beading.
