'Kate's Crow' firescreen

This dramatic image features a crow silhouetted against a background of Celtic spirals.  It is part of a custom-made wrought iron firescreen, also designed by Ruth.

The stitched panel is entirely hand embroidered on black silk matka.  The embroidery is largely chain stitch in a metallic thread, with split stitch used as a highlight.
