This slip case is inspired by the book itself. The boards and end papers are in an early Art Deco style, and the design for the slip case is intended to echo this without copying it.

The slip case is entirely hand embroidered and assembled. The ripple motif is worked in metal thread chain stitch, while the stylised oyster is in silk satin appliqué with silver kid and metal thread chain stitch detailing.

It is fully lined with ivory silk satin, and museum quality conservation mount is used to form the box.
