Pinterest – my boards
Do any of you use Pinterest? I know it’s been around for years but I’ve only just discovered it, and it’s fun!
There’s so much on it – images of anything and everything you can think of. I’ve created a few boards for inspiration – pictures I like, basically; whether I’ll actually be inspired by any of them to do anything I don’t know, but they’re lovely to look at.
Here’s what’s inspiring me right now:
Textiles
Embroidery mostly, but other textile arts too. The work other people are doing is amazing, plus historical embroideries and fabrics.
Crafts
Other crafts – glass, ceramics, wood, jewellery. Beautiful things made by talented people.
Art
There’s a very fine line between art and craft and it’s often hard to decide where it lies, but I’ve tried to choose fine art and illustration here.
Architecture
In my day job I work for an organisation involved with architecture and the construction industry, which has got me interested in buildings.
Interiors
Wouldn’t it be great to live in a home that looked like some of these?
Landscape
A mixture of dramatic and scenic views, gardens and plants.
Random
Colours, textures, bits and bobs that don’t seem to fit anywhere else.
And not forgetting:
My own embroidery
Some photos of my own work, which I’ll be adding to as I go along.
If you would like to follow any of my boards you can find them at pinterest.com/rutholeary16, or from the button at the bottom of the page. Let’s get pinning!
